Chinese Zodiac History Legends and mythology are a big part of Chinese culture, especially in relation to the Chinese Zodiac. The 12 animals that appear on the Chinese Zodiac calendar include a rat, buffalo (ox), tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. It’s an unusual combination of animals for sure, and their appearance on the Chinese Zodiac is the topic of countless legends and is deeply embedded in Chinese mythology.

Inner Animals: Birth Month February 4 - March 5 : Tiger March 6 - April 4 : Rabbit April 5 - May 4 : Dragon May 5 - June 5 : Snake June 06 - July 6 : Horse July 7 - August 6 : Sheep/Ram August 7 - Sept 22 : Monkey Sept 8 - October 7 : Rooster Oct 8 - November 6 : Dog Nov 7 - December 6 : Pig Dec 7 - January 5 : Rat January 6 - Feb 3 : Ox Secret Animals: Birth Time 23:00 - 1:00 : Rat 1:00 - 3:00 : Ox 3:00 - 5:00 : Tiger 5:00 - 7:00 : Rabbit 7:00 - 9:00 : Dragon 9:00 - 11:00 : Snake 11:00 - 13:00 : Horse 13:00 - 15:00 : Sheep/Ram 15:00 - 17:00 : Monkey 17:00 - 19:00 : Rooster 19:00 - 21:00 : Dog 21:00 - 23:00 : Pig Anyway, the whole "horoscope" thing may seem a little less ridiculous now, as the mere 12 Chinese zodiac sign animals translate to 60 x 12 x 12 = 8640* different personalities based on the year, month and hour of your birth. That is certainly comforting. Now there are just 800,000 clones of you on the planet. It also means that if you're born on Mars, with its 24.62 hour day, you have a chance of having no zodiac animal at all and thus no personality.

Elora, just want to help you a little, if you are born in 2011 for example you are rabbit [/b]BUT[/b], if you born before chinese new year this year 3rd feb you are considered as tiger. So people you have to consider this when you check on your chinese animal year. smiley. Great work elora keep it up, i dont know how to explain all that in english
