Carefully open the back case of your mobile, and also take away the battery. 3. Note the product number down... which u will see at place of your mobile battery. 4. Go to http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update and type the product number. (Youll now know if a new version of firmware for your Nokia mobile phone is available.)

5. Download the Nokia Software Updater. Go to http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update to Download it. 6. Install the Nokia Software Updater On Yours PC. 7. Connect your Nokia mobile phone via the USB port, and also make sure your computer is connected to the internet. 8. Run the Nokia Software Updater by clicking on the icon on your desktop. 9. The Nokia Software Updater connects to the internet, checks for updates, and then detects your phone to start installing firmware updates for your Nokia phone. 10. ill just add you can also use ur nokia ur going to update as modem to download the update software due to the fact the update doesnt start untill the downloaded software is complete i have done such a few times myself with success

also if ur using USB mobile broadband internet on computer id advise you to unplug the dongle once NSU has downloaded the updates Before flashing begins im suspect not doing this cause nsu confusion and bricked my n86....take good care when use NSU or any flashing tools its so easy to brick ur phone ..keep all other programs off and dont touch phone or usb cable
