Hi guys, does anyone who has a BlackBerry know why the heck flashing data arrows keep showing up? I am not subscribed to any social feeds, neither are any of my applications opened but the flashing arrows are killing my battery life. Please help!

Yup- at the signal bar at the top right hand corner of my BB, there are sometimes flashing arrows of which I was told that they are incoming and outgoing data information of some kind. Whenever this haapens, it kills my battery.

perhaps it means your key board is set to English, to hide this icon or change the language go to... Options Typing and Input Language select desired languages and at the bottom you can can select to Hide, Show, or Automatic for the icon. Have fun!

Haha, okay Grungeprince smiley and btw, the arrows flash even when I am not browsing or receiving msgs... In standby mode! I don't know why but yeah its killing my battery. Within like 30mins after a 100% charge, and without even touching my phone, the battery goes down 10% smiley

Then i am sure you have left some app open without closing. There is some kind of data transfer.

Those arrows are showing that your Blackberry phone is receiving or sending informations. There isn`t a singe symbol, there are actually two arrows for two different tasks, one is for receiving information is the other for sending informations. Most of the time they will be up both and this is why you see them together. I don;t know what you can do to stop this, probably should set your phone profile to offline if you aren't using the internet.
