Bombarier beetles have a very unsual and unpleasant way of warning off enemies. When provoked, the beetles swivels the tips of its abdomen round, and shoots a spray of boiling hot, poisonous chemicals at its attacker. The spray is made inside the beetle's body, from two otherwise quite harmless chemicals. They react together with an explosive sound loud enough for you to hear. There's no escape. the beetle has a very accurate aim.
