I have done research on this, some turned out that vampires are myth and some turned out that their must have been a connection to reality regarding it, so based on my own thinking i would say that something in reality must have inspired the legends and myths, so who knows? Maybe they exist, because i have found cases explained regarding modern day vampires with people have good evidence to backup what they say.

If you know the story of Vlad the Impaler from the famous book Dracula it is loosely based on some of the things he did. Though the myth of the vampire goes back to people born with a genetic allergy to light. They are really where the vampire myths really started.

Nope, sorry to break this but they ain't real. I go with what Laketempest has said and agree that this particular myth has been inspired by something else. PS: Maybe there are no such drastic things as blood suckers, but what about people who literaly drain and absorb life energy, often refered to as energy vampires. I personaly believe such people exist.

Read the history of my people and you'll understand.There are no dragons roaming free in Transilvania,no vampires. Strange things happend from time to time,yes but the myth of the vampires is more related to the "strigoi" (the undead) than to Bran's book.
