He was 150+ yrs old sikh, long white beard even evry hair on his face was white, appeared so charming on his fair complexion and a tinny crease that kept his lips parted seemed as he constantly smiling ,made him look even more charming and kind . . .
He was dada (grandfathr) of evryone, old young boys girls men wmen evryone called him dada. . .
For us kids (i was 9) he has many fairy tales and white sweets (phool methai) for men wmen wise stories...
He has a little court yard in front of his house where a huge Bohar tree was standing like a umbrella, under neeth he laid a Takht (wooden bed) he always half lied on it.
we every time come to see him found he recites a huge book (later i knew its Gurru Granth sb, relign book) but he knew Quraan and bible also. When he saw us, bowed before the book, kiss gently and closed it, then he looked at us and says 'sunao bhai becho aj dian ki khabraan ne, (tell me children whats news?) We say something then he gave us sweet made us sit and start telling us fairytales. . .
I never heard him shouting or laughing aloud.
People used to tke their personal and common disputes to him and he always seemed ready to help for found a solution...
When he was died we kids and whole town was sad and i then have observed evry eyes was tearfilled and many days whole town was mourning!
