As per reports, the accused person in the case claimed to be Saifi’s husband. Social media was outraged over her rape and murder on September 4 as the hashtag Justice for Rabiya started trending on Twitter. Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi also condemned the alleged inaction in the case. He said that a civil defence officer is brutally raped and stabbed in the country’s capital and there is a pin drop silence by the Delhi police.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Surajkund, Haryana reportedly said that he will ensure a fair investigation is conducted in the case.
