Almost every market that you go today you will see ppl carrying thier shopping items. However before stuffing ur home with different styles,colours n shapes of plastic bags hav u ever considered the dangers inherited in using them.
After hearing the disadvantages of plastic bags u will prefer sticking to paper bags n the likes:
1. Environmental Damage: it hav been.known to cause a lot of environmental damage. A single plastic bag can take up to 1000 of years to decay.
2. Threat to Animals : Plastic bags not only hav adverse effect on our natural habitats,but also bren found responsible for the death of many animals,mainly on the account of suffocations encountered by eating them. Not only animals but infants n young children hav also been reported to hav lost thier lives.
Plastics hav led to a great increase in the pollution level.
Recent controversions over plastic bottles,many toxicologist recommending re-using plastic water bottles n not storing food in tupperware hav highlighted the potential risk.
Exacerbating the problems is that science is only new advancing to where it can detect plastic components in the human blood n trace concentration in the human ailments n diseases.
Plastic are durable materials. Thus they are hard to eliminate once used and cause tremendous wastes. While some common plastics can be recycled, the vast majority cannot. It takes lots of space in the land fills and created air pollution when incenirated.
So we should therefore lessen the used of plastics. Today we need a cleaner n greener earth.

Yes, itz very important to avoid plastic bags for, it is very much harmful to the health. Even use of plastic bottles too.

I have a passionate hate against the careless disposal of plastics in general. Plastic is used in so many manufactured items which we would never suspect of containing plastic. Rhe ooceans have vast mountains of plastic floatin around. One such mountain of plastic, is estimated at weighing in the region of 780 tons! Now, could you imaginw what damage such an amount of plastic does to the creatures living at sea? And that is only one mountain...
